Joe Layman is the Data Center Manager for Molina Healthcare located in New Mexico. Responsibilities include the primary and disaster recovery data centers, backup environment, and technical project management for Molina Healthcare. Previous position was the Disaster Recovery Engineer for Presbyterian Healthcare Services in New Mexico. Joe’s responsibilities include responding to organizational audit, business continuity planning, disaster recovery planning, conducting business impact analysis, coordinating disaster recovery exercises, emergency response, and maintaining the Disaster Recovery Plan for the organization.
Joe has over 29 years of IS/IT experience. Within the 28 years of IS/IT, 25 years in management, developed an organizational Help Desk as well as a Data Center Manager in Juarez, Mexico. He also has over 20 years as a volunteer firefighter in Kentucky and New Mexico. A few of the positions held within the 20 years include adjunct state fire instructor, fire command positions, and Firefighter Representative on the Board of Trustees.
Joe is a member of DRII and is a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), a member of Business Resilience Certification Consortium International (BRCCI) and is a Certified Business Resilience Manager (CBRM), Certified Business Resilience IT Professional (CBRITP), a member of ISACA, and ITIL certified. Joe has also completed the introduction to the ISO 27001/ Information Security Management System (ISMS) Implementation Course, has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BS/BA) and Masters of Information Systems (MIS).
